Hirani Engineering was retained to provide engineering and architectural services to assess masonry and roof membrane leaks at PS 069, located in the Bronx. The objective was to perform water spray testing and document the findings related to leak sources in the auditorium and room 101 of the building.
Scope of Services:
Phase I – Investigation Phase:
Reviewed available design documents to understand the building’s structural and roofing systems.
Conducted two days of water testing using a spray bar method to simulate water penetration and identify leak sources.
Phase II – Report Phase:
Prepared a letter report detailing the findings of the water testing, identifying areas of concern and providing recommendations for remediation.
Hirani’s thorough investigation provided valuable insights into the building’s waterproofing issues, ensuring informed decisions for future repairs or upgrades.
